Considering Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Dr Sue Kafali has been a trail blazer in the area of Vaginal Rejuvenation, helping to make it a hallmark procedure in the field of Cosmetic Gynecology. Aging, and more specifically, the pregnancy and childbirthing process can have somewhat destructive effects on the vagina, stretching and losing muscle tone over time. Naturally, this can lead to reduced sexual satisfaction, and potentially some loss of self-esteem. an imperfection causes distress or anguish the most reasonable solution might very well be to have it corrected. Not all physical imperfections can be corrected, but women can find relief from a variety of conditions through a surgical process known as vaginal rejuvenation. Procedures

  • Vampire Face Lift®

The Vampire Face Lift® can create beautiful volume and lift, thus creating a more youthful shape to the face and under-eye area. It can also help you grow new tissue to smooth your skin’s texture and encourage the growth of new blood vessels that will increase microcirculation and provide you with a beautiful radiant complexion!  The Vampire FaceLift® can be used to create beautiful volume and lift to the skin, just like dermal fillers. The difference is that your own body is regenerating to create the volume over time. This natural approach creates a youthful shape to the face and is a favorite of our injectors for the under-eye area. After your blood is drawn and spun down in our centrifuge, it is then artfully injected back into the skin. The blood helps you grow new tissue, smoothing your skin’s texture. It also encourages the growth of new blood vessels, increasing microcirculation and providing you with a beautiful radiant complexion! For more immediate results, you can combine this treatment with other dermal fillers and with the Vampire Facial®!

  • Hymenoplasty

Hymenoplasty is usually a simple out-patient procedure that can be done in our clinic under local anesthesia. Any torn skin around the edges of the hymen is gently and neatly cut away, after which the remaining tissue is stitched together, leaving a small opening. This restores the hymenal ring to a normal size and shape. If there is not enough skin to restore the hymen, or if a hymen is nonexistent, the surgeon may create one, using either some of the body’s own thin vaginal skin (vaginal mucosa) or a synthetic tissue. A small blood supply may be added, either artificial or the patient’s own taken from a piece of vaginal flap, thus simulating the traditional bleeding upon subsequent penetration. The surgery takes 1 to 2 hours and all strenuous activity should be avoided during the following 48 to 72 hours. Full recovery takes approximately six weeks, after which there will be no visible signs of surgery. With the reconstruction process complete, the patient should experience all sensations associated with virginal, first time sex.

  • Mona Lisa Touch Vaginal Revitalization

This “laser vaginal rejuvenation” is done without cutting, scarring, downtime, anesthesia or pain… It is perfect for woman who have any of these symptoms due to menopause, post childbirth, post cancer treatments, or after an eating disorder like anorexia.

  • Perineoplasty

Perineoplasty, also referred to as perineorrhaphy, is plastic surgery that focuses on the deformities, imperfections, damages and defects of a woman’s anus and vagina. The surgery specifically removes scar tissue, unsightly bulges and unwanted skin, and then tightening or loosening the perineal muscles and vagina. An added benefit of perineoplasty is that, by making these adjustments, the surgery also serves to restore a woman’s confidence, and physically increase her levels of sexual pleasure.

  • Clitoral Hood Reduction

Reduces the excess tissue surrounding or covering the clitoris providing increased stimulation.

  • PRP Therapy & Sexual Dysfunction

PRP use in sexual dysfunction is considered to be a revolutionary new nonsurgical outpatient treatment that helps improve both urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction through using a woman’s own growth factors. PRP immediately activates tissue regeneration, and the enhancement in sexual response is dramatic.

FAQ's

  • How long does it take to recover from Labiaplasty or Vaginoplasty?
For external work (labiaplasty; reduction clitoral hood, superficial reconstruction of the vaginal opening…), you should really take it easy, mostly around the house, for 4-5 days, and, although you may return to relatively sedentary activities at work/home, you shouldn’t “push it” for another ~ 5 days. At 10-14 days after surgery (after your first post=op visit, and you are “cleared,” you may begin modest exercise, and return to normal basic activities. You may exercise fully at ~ 3-4 weeks, and climb back on your bike or lover in ~ 4-6 weeks after your surgery. For internal work (vaginoplasty; “vaginal rejuvenation”), the recovery is similar, but add ~ 5-7 days to everything. Do not go back to internal sexual intimacy until cleared to do so by your surgeon (usually 5-6 weeks after surgery.) Also, you may need a period of gently vaginal stretching prior to comfortable intercourse. And, don’t forget: this is the time to work on vaginal muscular strengthening exercises!
  • Does my insurance cover any of this surgery?
Generally, no- genital plastic/cosmetic surgery is considered to be "not medically necessary". However, if a portion of the surgery is considered medically necessary (for example, in situations involving urinary incontinence or certain types of prolapse/symptomatic pelvic support conditions), your surgery may cover a portion of the costs, including a good part of the facility and anesthesia fee. If this is combined with some purely plastic work (e.g. vaginal or perineal tightening/reconstruction), your surgeon may accept insurance payment for the medically indicated part, and bill additionally for that portion, not covered by your insurance, that is purely aesthetic.
  • What is normal size of a woman’s labia?
Like breasts and noses, labia come in an amazing array of shapes, sizes, and colors. And, like these other organs, there is a wide range of normality. No two women’s labia look exactly alike and, usually, the two sides are not exactly the same in an individual woman. Many women have petite labia, while others are more well endowed. The average width of a woman’s labia is about 1 inch. Obviously, many women are smaller, or larger. Some women’s labia begin in multiple folds from a generously endowed clitoral hood; others hoods are more spare, and there is only one fold. Sometimes the labial edges are pink, sometimes tan, ofttimes considerably darker. Sometimes thick, at times thin, frequently folded on itself. Sometimes the labia end well above the base of the vaginal opening, frequently the labia trail well below the opening. It’s all normal. But, just because it’s normal (like very small breasts, or breasts that have lost their shape after bearing children) doesn’t mean that a woman is satisfied with the appearance and might, exactly like having breast size augmented or reduced, wish to change the appearance and size to one that better suits her desires.
